I, too, commend the Senator from Utah for his continuing support of this committee's effort to expand and improve cancer research. This is an important topic in my state of Hawaii, where the Cancer Research Institute at the University of Hawaii has been long committed to finding treatments for the many varieties of cancer common not only to Hawaii but to the rest of the nation. I strongly support the commitment of the chairman to the request made by the Senator from Utah.
