Daniel Akaka: “The public is enfranchised to make decisions about government actions that have an impact on them.”

Last Congress, bipartisan legislation was introduced by Senator Daniel Akaka (S. 998) and Representative George Miller (H.R. 1867) to address this problem and assure that all pilots are provided fair benefits.

I fought to include a report on remittance transfers in the Dodd-Frank provisions.

We must also reaffirm and acknowledge the Department of Education's Federal trust responsibility for American Indian and Alaska Native students.
