Recovering from back-to-back hurricanes requires significant resources, and help is on the way. I thank the president for approving these disaster declarations which will unlock federal resources and help our state and county governments…

Hurricanes and floods and tornadoes and fires don’t pick and choose their targets based on how the last election went.

Disasters used to be an unfortunate reality you had to deal with from time to time. Now, we’re getting back-to-back hurricanes on top of historic floods... That is not normal.

We’re all paying the price for our inaction.
