We are going to need your continued leadership, because one of the challenges that we have in Congress is that this has actually become, unfortunately, a partisan issue for some where it becomes a question of whether or not you support smart growth, location efficiency, multimodal transportation, rail, all those things, which sometimes cut along liberal and conservative lines when, in fact, if you look at mayors, if you look at the AARP, this is a question of keeping people safe as they walk around.
