I wish to thank Senator Whitehouse for being a leader for so long, for being so forceful and so factual on this issue. I applaud his leadership and look forward to continuing to work together on this important issue. Climate change is real. Climate change is caused by humans, and climate change is solvable. I wish to end on a note of optimism. The urgency of this situation creates a real opportunity. We have a chance to start a second Industrial Revolution that will drive our economy for decades to come. We have the chance and the responsibility to transition into a clean energy economy and leave our world in better shape than we found it. I yield the floor for Senator Blumenthal.
