National Heritage Areas protect and interpret some of the best stories and places in American history. Heritage Areas have been enormously popular and successful partnerships between the local communities and the National Park Service. This legislation makes important technical changes to several existing Heritage Areas and establishes several new ones. We urge our colleagues to support this measure.
