Madam Speaker, I want to commend the gentleman and all of my colleagues for coming tonight in support of law enforcement. The Good Book tells us that greater love hath no man but that he lay down his life for his friends. That is what our law enforcement, our first responders, our public safety personnel do for us each and every day, 24/7, all across this country. For that, we are so grateful. They are Black; they are White; they are young; they are seasoned; they are male, and they are female. In my community in Columbus, Georgia, we have had all of them to give their last full measure of devotion in defense of our communities, to keep us safe at night, so I commend my colleagues for that. I thank my colleague so much for allowing me to invade this Special Order to give a special tribute to one of my constituents who passed away during our break. It is with a heavy heart, Madam Speaker, and in solemn remembrance that I rise today to pay tribute to a respected community leader, an outstanding citizen, Michael Byron Tabb, Sr. Sadly, Mike passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015, and funeral services were held Saturday, August 22, at 11 a.m. at the Milford Baptist Church in Leary, Georgia. Mike Tabb was born in Albany, Georgia, and graduated from Baker County High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education and minored in biology at Valdosta State College, now Valdosta State University.…
