This extension is a win-win for Georgians and our trading partners in Haiti and Africa. It will lower the cost of everyday goods and improve our national security by helping stabilize the economies of our global partners.

I can tell you, as the father of two small children, that it is much more than they wanted to spend.

I am proud to announce that funding is coming to Georgia to help our communities be better prepared for hurricane season and other disasters.

But we must do everything to protect our national security while, at the same time, bolstering the economic security of everyday Americans.
