I`ve talked to Joe Manchin as a colleague, and not only him but other members of the caucus, and we`re having important and I think productive conversations on both sides of the aisle. There will be some back and forth, some sausage-making, but in the end, if the people can`t have their voice in a democracy, it is not a democracy. I`m not about to allow that to happen in our country without a fight.
