If it does not, make no mistake: it is the State’s mismanagement of funds and poor construction of its ‘innovative program’ that will continue to doom the lowest-income Georgians to a life without health care.

These institutions serve as stewards of academic excellence and innovation, and this federal investment specifically in STEM programs honors that legacy of greatness and expands opportunity for the next generation of scientists.

For too long, HBCUs have gone unrecognized for their contributions to our nation’s leading STEM industry.

I urge the State to do everything in its power to keep as many people enrolled in affordable coverage.
