Today is a small but meaningful victory for all Americans who’ve suffered under this President’s reckless tariffs.

We don’t have to imagine. We are seeing it in real time, and everyday people, as a result of that, are struggling—struggling to buy groceries, struggling to buy gas, struggling to buy their kids back-to-school supplies.

The lack of transparency here in Effingham County and in counties across our state and across the country is unacceptable, and that’s why today I’m calling for a moratorium on data centers.

This victory shows what is possible when we center the people in policymaking.
