I look forward to hearing from our witnesses on their insight and recommendations on these matters, and I hope that NASA will do everything in its power to address all of the shortcomings discussed today to ensure our nation's space agency can securely support and appropriately protect cutting-edge research and technology.
NASA continues to struggle with the protection of sensitive information, even as the agency is persistently targeted by our adversaries.

This is unacceptable. Forty-two percent to me is a tremendous regulatory burden.
If we really want to reduce the administrative burden on institutions, then all we have to do is reduce the size of the administration--no money, no problem.
When CISPA was passed--several times now--a lot of people that are concerned about privacy and civil liberties all across the Nation were very fearful of that act because of the potential sharing of their own personal private information with the Federal Government.
Liberty is too precious and we must continue to be ever vigilant in protecting it.
It is unconscionable for the U.S. Government to kill its own citizens without first allowing them their day in court and due process.
