Lucy McBath: “Gun violence prevention laws work.”

Our legislation addresses gaps in disaster response that impact survivors of natural disasters the most — being without their homes and their support systems.

We also passed the bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the first major gun violence prevention legislation this country has seen in nearly 30 years.

I am proud to support this legislation to ensure our teenagers can spend this pivotal moment in their lives focusing on things that will positively shape them into adulthood.

We must do what we can to help law enforcement and prosecutors bring these evils to justice.
