When a Governor determines that his State, or any locality therein, is experiencing a shortage of motor gasoline available for retail distribution, such that the public health, safety, or welfare is endangered, he may require motor gasoline retail sales outlets in that State or locality to supply with gasoline (including gasohol) vehicles.

I would prefer a much more rapid withdrawal myself and I don't know what the, you know, what the recommendation will be until I see the written report.
I think that sends a clear signal to Maliki that we won't be there indefinitely and my hope is that they'll be a commitment by the world community including the controversial nations of Syria and Iran.
It would serve the Nation equally ill to underrate our strengths and our proven ability to handle difficult issues.
