Jimmy Carter: “If necessary to defend the freedom and security of Western Europe and this country, then I would use atomic weapons.”

That our country for the first time in my lifetime has abandoned basic principles of human rights.

All of us owe them our gratitude and respect.

We look on human rights as an ability to live in peace. And to believe that your future will be better than your past might be.

But my hope is that there will be some clarification of what the United States is doing now and what they will be doing in the future.
