Jimmy Carter: “I wanted a strong, creative thinker who could take a new, fresh look at the way we educate our children.”

This is a very wise and very courageous thing for President Obama to do. And in my opinion, is long overdue.

But among those who believe the case should be re-opened are politicians who don't always agree with each other, ranging from former president, Jimmy Carter to conservative former Georgia congressman, Bob Barr.

All of us owe them our gratitude and respect.
