We look on human rights as an ability to live in peace. And to believe that your future will be better than your past might be.
Our great nation now teeters on the brink of a widening abyss. Without immediate action, we are at genuine risk of civil conflict and losing our precious democracy.
But my hope is that there will be some clarification of what the United States is doing now and what they will be doing in the future.
That our country for the first time in my lifetime has abandoned basic principles of human rights.
