I respectfully disagree with what President Bush had to say. I don't think that the safety of America depends at all on the extended presence of U.S. troops in Iraq.
The book is about Palestine. And most of those reviews are referring to Israel. The book is not about Israel.
I think that sends a clear signal to Maliki that we won't be there indefinitely and my hope is that they'll be a commitment by the world community including the controversial nations of Syria and Iran.
I therefore recommend that the Senate give early and favorable consideration to the Protocol of Amendment, and advice and consent to its ratification.
