Let us resolve to honor our country's flag by displaying in our lives the qualities it reflects.
I call upon all Americans to observe the period from Flag Day through Independence Day as a period to honor America through public gathering...
I urge all Americans to support the continuing efforts of the black press to help assure that America achieves its full potential.
The panel will submit, within 60 days, five names from which the President may select a nominee.
