That is why I offered an amendment last year to the NDAA which has since become law, requiring the Pentagon to examine emergency medical services and capability at U.S. military bases around the world.

We have the greatest military in the world, the greatest leaders, including yourselves. How can something like this happen if that is the case?

The government should do everything it can to foster an environment that promotes greater innovation and patient access to innovative care.
