It starts with acknowledging that universities have the primary responsibility here.

We must hold schools accountable. We must protect all students, and we must work together in a bipartisan fashion and declare zero tolerance for antisemitism.

The response of many university presidents and chancellors to these events has been woefully inadequate, and completely lacking in leadership.

permitting campus demonstrations for Gazans’ right to live allows us to tolerate hatred and antisemitism that leads to this violence.
