Ron Dion DeSantis is an American politician and attorney serving as the 46th governor of Florida since January 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he previously represented Florida's 6th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018. DeSantis has focused on various issues during his governorship, including education reform, environmental policies, and public health initiatives, particularly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Congress recently passed a trade authority bill that, among other provisions, instructed our trade negotiators to oppose any boycotts of Israel including persons doing business in Israel or in Israel-controlled territories.
