Mr. President, first, I want to thank my colleague from Montana for his unwavering support for law enforcement. It is hard to believe that in a State like Montana, which is so supportive of law enforcement, there would be any city that would be thinking about reducing their police budget. It shouldn't be happening around the country. I am honored to stand here today to support our brave law enforcement and say enough is enough. We are not going to tolerate violence, attacks, and vilification of our law enforcement. I am proud to introduce the Back the Blue resolution today. I am asking all of my colleagues to join me in support As in legislative session, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate proceed to the consideration of S. Res. 697, submitted earlier today. Further, I ask unanimous consent that the resolution be agreed to; that the preamble be agreed to; and that the motions to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table with no intervening action or debate.
