“every day Americans learn more unintended negative consequences of the Clinton health plan. A current Lewin-VHI study on the President's health reform plan found it will kill at least 155,000 private-sector jobs with an estimated 88 percent of the cost of its heavyhanded employer mandate punishing workers through reduced wages. We also learn from a multinational business services report that implementing Clinton health plan will require 98,164 new Government employees to manage the 2,900 pages of new Government redtape. The rest of the world is moving at lightning speed away from centralized economies and toward free markets. We now have more Government employees involved in redistributing wealth in our country than we have private-sector employees producing wealth. Still, President Clinton wants to substitute Government bureaucrats for private-sector workers. It has been done before. It is called socialism. It does not work.”
