I think efforts are underway to tighten the disclosure requirements to bring sunshine and accountability into our process. Certainly as Members know, these principles sound easy, but they are not as easy when you start applying them, because you have to define what a gift is. If somebody gives you a memento, it is hard to make that distinction occasionally. I think most Members agree that we have to be wise and judicious in what we do, and I think it is very clear that both the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct and the Committee on Rules, both of which I am on, are interested in this along with the Committee on the Judiciary. It has a terrific amount of interest, it is underway, it is going forward.
