I do want to answer the gentleman's question, Mr. Chairman, and be very clear that this amendment neither sets the scope of notification nor the degree of risk that would necessitate notification. What we request is a report to the U.S. Attorney General on how the State intends to notify. It would give the States the flexibility to determine that process, which students would be potential threats as they return into the school system and how to notify parents of that threat.
