Marco Rubio: “I was very optimistic about the progress of the talks.”

The United States expects the freedoms of all sectors of Venezuelan politics to continue to be respected.

Likewise, we expect all political actors to support these talks which represent the best chance Venezuela has had in thirty years to peacefully achieve not just a free and fair election but an enduring democracy.

It’s an honor to work for the greatest country in the world, for the greatest president in the history of the United States of America.

We do not want to be overly dependent on any country in the world.
