At the end of the day, the solution here is not simply immigration reform. The solution is a Venezuelan, a Venezuela where Venezuelans who wish to return can return and live without having political or economic concerns.

Today’s designations make clear that the Trump Administration will not tolerate the Cuban regime’s efforts to fund its repression or continue its decades-long campaign of subversive anti-American activities.

In the long term, the future of Venezuela is to have a democratically elected- elected government, in a republic where the country’s leaders are directly accountable to the laws of the country and to the voters of that country.

As long as they continue to endeavor or claim to want one, they’re going to pay a price for it, and that price is going to be primarily economic.
