Mr. Speaker, here we go again. Today, we saw the Republicans' latest attempt to punish Planned Parenthood, one of the Nation's premier healthcare organizations, only because it provides an array of services, including legal abortions. Mr. Speaker, at some time in her lifetime, one in five American women is going to turn to Planned Parenthood. In fact, Planned Parenthood provides 400,000 Pap smears, 500,000 breast exams, 4.5 million STD tests, and prevents 500,000 unwanted pregnancies each year. This Chamber's latest fiasco would leave millions of women with no place to go for basic preventative healthcare services. Mr. Speaker, I am sad to say that the Republicans are more obsessed with the uteruses of American women than of the real issues facing us today. ____________________
