“That is another special order, Mr. Speaker. This is democracy we are talking about. I am a member of the Committee on Armed Services. We have men and women, several thousand, that are fighting against this kind of thing. And we have to make sure that we give very little to others to point to and say, ``See, you are telling me to do something, but you are not doing it.'' And if someone is the President of the United States, they can pretty much say, if someone has a T-shirt, if someone has a sign, if someone is standing in line and they say, ``I disagree with the President and I want to hear what he says, but I do not think we need to privatize Social Security.'' Or to go in and then come out and talk to the media or talk to anyone, they have the right to do that. This is not a private event. This is paid for by the taxes that the gentlewoman pays, I pay, and all of our constituents pay. So if our tax dollars are going to work against us because we disagree, and we are right to disagree, it is insane.”
