Mr. Chairman, in closing, I just would like to say that the Republicans are not facing the facts. Families with children will still be worse off in this new budget resolution. The Joint Economic Committee has already revealed that the $29 that the chairman talked about, that is an average figure. That is not the figure for every family. Some families will be hit harder by that, and we will have a large tax increase. Mr. Chairman, we can balance this budget together, the Republicans and the Democrats, but we cannot balance it unless we work both with the poor, and the near-poor, and the rich.
