“You are part of that solution, and we thank the fact that you have joined us on several occasions and you are part of us. I just want to say quickly that we talk about priorities in America. I am so glad on the Democratic side of the aisle, and even some Republicans within this process, that we believe in keeping the deficit down, not increasing the deficit, not playing games about how we are going to decrease it in the future; but this is my credit card and the reason why the numbers have not changed is the fact the Congressional Budget Office, they are going to have a mid-session review in July, and this deficit number is going to change. Unfortunately, it may not change for the better, but this is a big number right here, and this is the U.S. Treasury and down here you have the Republican Congress. That is there. I want to share with the American people that the Democrats here in this House, we can only do so much to bring the deficit down.”
