I am so glad that we have this hour to be able to let Americans know the things they need to know about their government. I think it is important since the gentleman from Virginia just finished talking about what this effort and what I call mismanagement has cost the American people and that it will cost the American people. We need to make sure that we understand that we are deficit spending. This is not surplus money. This is deficit spending money. It is like for some of us Americans that are receiving these credit cards through the mail saying that all you have to do is sign the back and call this 1-800 number, you are automatically qualified for $2,000 and you go out and you spend that $2,000 at a rate of like 23 percent interest rate. That is the kind of deficit spending that we have right now. We need to continue to have a dialogue on this. I am very disturbed by some of the things that I am hearing out of this White House and out of the majority party as it relates to the efforts in Iraq.
