Congresswoman, the issue is the fact that if folks would say, well, why are the Democrats not doing something? They may well, I do not know, maybe they are saying what they should be doing and they are not doing. Guess what? I just want to remind the Members just in case, Mr. Speaker, someone bumped their head and has a little amnesia going on, the Republican-controlled Senate, Republican- controlled House, a majority, okay? A Republican-controlled White House. That is legislative and executive branch, all right? They are in control of this government. The bottom line is in the minority, as it relates to the rules, they cannot agenda bills here on the Floor, they cannot call committee meetings. They cannot even get votes to take place here on this floor, and within the time that it is supposed to take place, especially when the majority is not on the prevailing side, because it is bad policy that they are passing. All we can do is make sure that not only the Members know exactly what they are doing, not only fight them in committee as it relates to amendments to try to make bills better and shame the majority into accepting those amendments so that the bill and the legislation could be better, or we can have better oversight over Federal agencies to make sure what? That the American people get their taxpayer dollars' worth of accountability out of those Federal agencies, and even sometimes out of individuals that are within the Federal Government.…
