I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill, add the following: SEC. 2. GAO STUDY ON THE IMPACTS THAT FUNDING THROUGH THE PREVENTION AND PUBLIC HEALTH FUND WOULD HAVE ON PREVENTING CHRONIC DISEASES AND PROMOTING HEALTH. The Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a study to determine the impacts that providing prevention, wellness, and public health activities under the Prevention and Public Health Fund, using the funding made available under section 4002 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (42 U.S.C. 300u-11), would have on preventing chronic diseases and promoting health in the United States, if such funding were not repealed and rescinded under section 1. Not later than the expiration of the 90-day period beginning on the day of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall submit to the Congress a report setting forth the results and conclusions of the study under this section.
