In fact, Mr. Secretary, federal statute expressly prohibits NHTSA from considering the fuel economy of EVs when determining maximum feasible cafe standards for passenger cars and trucks.
I don’t think he would take it to the floor unless he thought he had a good shot of getting the votes.
