I am distressed to vote in such a way that would deny U.S. Federal judges the COLA's that I believe that they deserve. Unfortunately, because judges have been lumped together with politicians on Capitol Hill, I have no other choice but to vote for the measure lest I appear to be self-serving. It is my hope that Federal judges' pay will be separated from politicians' pay scales in the future.
