Joe Garcia: “Crime rates have been increasing in Indian Country while they have been falling in similar low-income communities…”

I ask this subcommittee to do the same for Indian country in the next highway bill.

Simply put, children who were brought here hadn't committed a crime, misdemeanor or otherwise.

We need to fix our immigration system and invest in this part of the world to get to the root of the problem in this crisis.

I believe it would be a grave mistake to allow millions of people to come out of the shadows and obtain lawful immigration status, only to leave them in a second-class status for the rest of their lives.
