In the midst of our immigration reform debate, one thing we should all agree on is that we must require those who came here illegally to give back before they can receive any additional benefit.

What makes America special is that people come here, they assimilate, they become fully American with all of the rights and responsibilities that citizenship bestows.

We need to fix our immigration system and invest in this part of the world to get to the root of the problem in this crisis.
