Jerry Demings: “Our residents, all Florida residents should be outraged. And they should ask the question now, where's our state?…”

It is an imminent threat, it is an on-going threat, and it is a threat that we must continue to fight.

Are we funding our police departments like we should? Are we making an investment in our law enforcement in an extent to help them protect lives?

We have to look at some of our gun laws and make a determination of what we stand for and just how prevalent some of these 'assault rifles' are available today.

None of us thought that it would take nine years to get to this point and we can't go back and relitigate all of the failures along the way that have happened, but what we can do is control how we move forward together.
