And, then, of course, Assad is still responsible for the deaths of over 200,000 people. Last year, the President failed to act militarily when Assad used chemical weapons against his own people. We cannot have a plan that does not address the removal of Assad simultaneously alongside the destruction of ISIL and other terrorist threats. Even though I will vote for the McKeon amendment, we still won't be approaching this situation in a comprehensive manner that is required.…”
