“Well, I wish I were standing before you this morning to announce the Congressional Women's Softball team's second big victory. Unfortunately, I can't share that good news with you, but I can share the news with you that our bipartisan team, with the Bad News Babes, the women members of the press corps, raised over $50,000 for the Young Survival Coalition. We're very proud of that. We are proud, as congressional women, that we play in a bipartisan spirit, that we have built a bipartisan and bicameral camaraderie and a team spirit and friendship that we would never have had an opportunity to build if not for playing this game. We all, as women Members, want to thank the fabulous, indomitable Natalie Buchanan, who is on the leadership staff of Kevin McCarthy, for coming out there with us every morning at 7 a.m. Natalie, stand up.
