From the perspective of wanting to protect the natural integrity of the Park, I think it's much more preferable to have power lines on the outside edge of the Park than running right through the middle of the Park.

I would strongly urge the Committee to maintain the focus on the purpose of my legislation to ensure that the spirit and letter of U.S. immigration law is enforced.

My legislation simply says that any Cuban national who receives political asylum and residency under the Cuban Adjustment Act and travels to Cuba while still a resident will have their residency status revoked.

I would hope that, now that they have a President who is committed to bringing down the level of corruption, that we will reverse that emphasis.
