I want to remind the people who might be watching this that we're talking about House Resolution 357, which is a rule that would allow us to reauthorize an extension of the Airport and Airway Extension Act, which is called H.R. 2553. We need to be a $20 billion Coast Guard. We need to have $3 billion, at least, in our capital acquisition.
To date, we have yet to see such a plan, let alone a cost estimate or a timeline of the first vessel in the fleet.
The House passed an authorization bill earlier this year that begins to appropriately resource the Coast Guard.
