You know, my wife and I are the proud possessors of two great-grandchildren, just within the last month. The distinguished chairman's grandson, and Erma's and my great-grandchildren, each of them owes, as of this past Monday, $24,253.36 on the national debt of the United States. My amendment is for the purpose of keeping down this debt and not increasing the deficit.
