I am grateful to the good people of West Virginia for trusting me with this honor for nearly 40 years now. I carry this title with great pride. Sometimes my constituents say to me, ``Do you ever get used to it?'' as they look about this marvelous building, and the truth of the matter is that I haven't gotten used to it. Each time I walk through these doors, I feel a sense of great pride in being a Member of the United States Senate, and a sense of satisfaction in knowing that I have tried to do my best, and that the people of West Virginia have recognized that, and that they have continually shown their faith and confidence in me.
