I must say I have great concerns about this legislation as it is written as to the verbiage that we find in this new package that is on our desks today. I hope the distinguished Senator from Alaska is accurate and that he is correct, and that the assurances which he has been given and which he is giving will prove to be the case. I have a great deal of confidence in my friend from Alaska. I have implicit confidence in him. I have never had that confidence shaken. But that confidence I have in him does not extend beyond him, I have to say truthfully, to the people in this administration. But I do trust my friend and I know he will try to his level best to see to it that the administration deals fairly and squarely with us in the appropriations process.
