That is the type of scenario I envision. The legislation was carefully crafted so that residents will have a significant voice in the policies and programs that will affect them. I agree that the only way their interests can truly be served is to provide them with as much advance notice and information about the public hearings as possible--and to incorporate their recommendations where appropriate.

H.R. 2542 does not defund the OAS. H.R. 2542 requires only that the OAS uphold its international commitments in order to receive U.S. taxpayer dollars.

I certainly hope Argentina will go back to being a friendly country and not being the antagonist that it looks like it is appearing to go down that road.

I believe that the OAS instead of standing up for the people of Honduras and their democracy and constitution, instead sided with Chavez and Zelaya.

I think the OAS stands in the way of democracy, and that we ought to be strengthening our relationships with our friends and allies instead of turning it over to the OAS.
