On the recordMarch 17, 1994
I have one last comment to make and then I will yield the floor. The last comment is with respect to stripping out. We mentioned yesterday some of our concerns about the purposes clause in the legislation. So I do not think that should be a surprise that we came back with a suggestion that that was what we were intending to do. That was mentioned yesterday afternoon in the meeting in my office. But, again, we could end up talking all day about whether people really are serious about compromising. Let us meet and see if we can move forward. I yield the floor.
