I and my esteemed colleague Senator Graham rise today to congratulate this Congress for its foresight and commitment to one of the most important restoration efforts in our Nation's history, the restoration of the south Florida ecosystem, better known as the Everglades. Under section 506 of the 1996 farm bill, the United States has made a historical commitment to this unique national treasure.
